New flights from Manchester announced by regional airline

Loganair is announcing changes to its Manchester schedule, with new flights added to Southampton and Exeter as part of the regional airline’s growth plans.

The airline has confirmed that a new Manchester to Southampton flight will run three times daily, beginning 26 October. Tickets are on sale from today (Tuesday, 4 March), priced from £59.99, including a 15kg hold bag and a 6kg cabin bag.

This new route – which will be departing from Manchester Airport’s new Terminal 2 building - enhances onward connectivity through existing partnerships with Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Aer Lingus.

The newly launched routes offer customers the benefits of single ticket and through checked luggage to global destinations that further reinforces Loganair’s commitment to providing unrivalled connectivity.

New daily flights between Manchester and Exeter are also being introduced. This route is also on sale from today, with the first flights running Monday, 26 October. Prices start from £59.99, including a 15kg hold bag and a 6kg cabin bag.

Luke Farajallah, Chief Executive Officer at Loganair, said:

"The addition of the Manchester to Southampton and Manchester to Exeter routes to Loganair's extensive network across the UK and beyond further enhances connectivity for leisure and business travellers, supporting our regional economies and allowing customers to travel even further afield with our partner airlines.

We are committed to providing quality, accessible and reliable air travel for communities across the country and are pleased to further connect the people of Manchester with leisure and business hubs across the UK.”

In addition to strengthening its regional flight offerings, Loganair is bolstering its growth ambitions with a new base located at Southampton, allowing the airline to efficiently serve southern communities.

Jonathan Keenan-O’Connor, Head of Aviation at Manchester Airport, said:

“We’re proud to connect people in the North to the places they want to get to, and that includes other parts of the UK. It’s fantastic that the South Coast and Southwest regions will now be within easy reach for business and leisure travel from Manchester, and Loganair’s new services also give travellers in those regions access to Manchester’s network of more than 200 destinations across the globe.”

Loganair was recently named by Which? as one of the UK’s top airlines. Loganair was awarded a five-star rating for its customer service.
