The Island Residents Fare Card
The new Island Residents Fare Card grants discounted air travel to residents of Scottish Islands served by Public Service Obligation flights - routes subsidised by the Scottish Government. Specifically, those living in Barra, Tiree, Coll or Vatersay.
Brought to you by Transport Scotland and Loganair, the Residents Fare Card is the new way to ensure the communities that rely on air travel for work, leisure, and all occasions can connect to the mainland for less.
When does this start?
- The Residents Fare Card is valid for travel from 25 October 2023 until 24 October 2027.
How do I book?
- You must enter your Island Residents Fare Card ID and PIN number when booking.
- Fully bookable online at Loganair.co.uk

How do I apply for a Residents Fare Card?
To apply for a Resident Fare Card:
- Complete the application form
- Email your completed form and proof of residency to info@residentsfare.com.
- Or by post to: Residents Fare, PO Box 5715, Inverness, IV1 9AS

If you are eligible, you will receive a Resident Fares Card and PIN number. When you book your tickets online, use the ID number on your card and the PIN for a resident fare price.

It will typically take one to two months to receive your application and issue the Resident Fare Card and PIN.
If you are applying before 25 October 2023, we will issue your card in early October. To get your card before the 25 October 2023, you will need to apply before 1 October 2023.
