With plenty of cities from different regions all over the UK making their mark on the foodie map, we’ve chosen some of our favourites, which we know you’ll love. From traditional cuisines to innovative Michelin restaurants, you will find all your heart desire when it comes to food in these cities.
Glasgow
Glasgow is well-known for its vibrant food and drinks scene. With all its restaurants, brunch places, cocktail bars and food markets, Glasgow will not disappoint when it comes to food. In quaint places such as the cobbled Ashton Lane or Finnieston, you can find various charming restaurants to dine out at or even pubs and beer gardens for a drink or 2. With food markets such as Platform, Dockyard Social and Big Feed, you’ll be spoilt for choice with all the street food stalls! If you’d rather head out for a cake and coffee, there’s also a large number of cafes, from small independent ones to those belonging to a chain; you can find them around every corner.

By The River Brew Co. is an independent container settlement situated beneath the Tyne Bridge on the Gateshead side of the river, which is open during weekends throughout the year. Alternatively, Grainger Market is an indoor market located right in the heart of the city, with a wide variety of cuisines, authentic shops and independent cafes in one location.

Edinburgh
Head to Scotland’s capital city for more food and drink spots than you can even imagine!
